History

Wildwood Canyon Inn, formerly The Franklin Manor, was built in 1998 as a bed and breakfast inn. Lance and Nancy Lee, the Inn's previous owners, named their establishment in honor of Richard Franklin, an artist they admired who was killed in a plane crash at the age of 35. Many of Franklin's works of art grace the Inn.

The Inn was designed to look as if it had been standing on Main Street for generations. Tucked in among galleries, antique shops and restaurants, the three story building is in perfect harmony with the 1859 period construction of Telluride's National Historic District.
